Renshi.T.Balakrishnan VI Dan Black Belt started learning Karate at a tender age of 6 from his elder brother. Having keen interest, he continued Karate simultaneously with his studies. After his brother left Karate, a senior instructor of Alan Thilak Shito-Ryu Karate School coached him. After several years of rigorous practice and winning various championships at District, State and National levels, he started his tenure as an instructor of Alan Thilak Shito-Ryu Karate School in addition to this he was also selected has a Tamilnadu Police Department Coach in the year 1988. He concentrated selflessly to provide the students with the essence of Karate. He made his students excel in both Kata and Kumite.
In the year 2000, he moved into the shadow of  Dai Sensei.Dr.Mosses Thilak.

After few years, he was struck with an idea of starting his own Karate school. Finally, in the year 2004 he established Universal Shito-Ryu Sports Karate School [USSKS] with about 200 students. After the sudden demise of Dai Sensei.Dr.Mosses Thilak, he engaged himself fully to strengthen USSKS. The main motto of the school is to teach Karate as a sport as well as a self-defense. He wanted his students to be real Karetekas. After these many years, today USSKS has over 1000 dedicated students at various dojos. USSKS will continue to serve Karate for its development.
